Having been interested in model railways for longer than I can remember, it seems right that I include some model (railway) photos. All photos here are digital photos unless stated otherwise.

Cockington Green page added 1.7.07

Check out the 5" gauge S class photos too.

Something different TOLTOYS red plastic railway from the 1970s.

O gauge Z class tram on a model tramway at the Melbourne Exhibition Buildings during a philatelic exhibition - Stampshow '89. Trams were a theme as Australia Post had released tram stamps at the time. This display had been exhibited at the Royal Melbourne Show in the past.

Train Hobby VR L class electric loco on a small diorama I built for selling models on eBay.
Lima C-38 Bicentennial train locomotive on the same diorama.
Thomas shunts a vengeful wagon on the siding of my revolving N scale layout. More on this layout later. These items were repainted by me and used on a small layout at Sale Cinema when the Thomas and the Magic Railroad movie was released.
Garden railway at Allaboard, Mittagong. 2007
LGB outdoor layout at Mittagong.
Another view of the same layout.
LGB train crossing a pond, Mittagong. 2007
LGB outdoor model railway, Buderim, Qld. 1988

Busy street corner on my Underground Railway diorama (a street corner with the subway stairs disappearing under the footpath). This was a joke model for a modeling competition.
Modified Powerline G2 model emerging from under a road bridge. The layout was actually a British prototype module. But it's not so obvious in this shot.
British Railways 0-6-0T on the same layout. This was an old layout with Lima steel track that I rebuilt with Peco Nickle-Silver rail and eventually resold.
Scene on my O scale layout using N and Z scale trains to represent a miniature passenger-carrying railway. A model of a model if you will. While I intended the N to represent 7 1/4" gauge and the Z to look like 5" gauge trains, the reality is more like the N being 15" gauge and Z for 7 1/4".

Pedestrian view of a street on my O scale layout.
Another view of the same street.
Small details such as footpaths, driveways, kerbing (with drain) and true-to-life road markings are often left out, but as seen here, go a long way to making an urban scene more realistic.
This road came out a little 'muddier' than I intended. It was made from Polyfilla and a car run over it before it dried.
Locomotive at the unusual 6.5" gauge private Foster Creek Railway at Jumbunna, Vic.

Scanned photo.

An old Hales Creek Railway locomotive which was one of those responsible for the unusual gauge I believe.

Here's a corner of a large British N scale layout I owned until 1985. Sort of wish I'd kept it today.

Scanned photo.

A German N scale layout that once acted as a display in Hobbies Plus when it had been at Moe.
